Giving Opportunities

The Baptist Manor, Fund Development Division, is offering the community- at- large an opportunity to help those who cannot help themselves by contributing to the DBM Endowment Fund, and there are a variety of ways in which you can contribute:

  • Donations (tax deductible)
  • Annual Fund Drive
  • Endowment
  • Bequests
  • Life Income Gift
  • Brick Marker Project
  • and our Beautification Project

The DBM Endowment Fund, established in 1986 enables us to continue to provide for the care of residents who have exhausted all financial resources and are in need of Assisted Living Services, provided through the Haworth Assisted Living Center. In keeping with the mission of the agency - "To assure seniors retain independence while maintaining and improving their quality of life through an affordable continuum of services, care, and housing".

The "memorial and beautification project" that we have undertaken with the Brick Marker, USA Project will serve to help the DBM raise monies to supplement the Endowment Fund, so that DBM may serve many more older adults. The project, commenced in 2006, however this will be an ongoing project for some time to come. Application forms for the Brick Marker project are available through the DBM Central office. For brick forms and additional information, call Suzanne Linman-Duda at (248) 626-6100.

In 2008, DBM will formally break-ground on the Brick Marker Project, and also offer the community the opportunity to enhance the beauty of the campus by providing them with the opportunity to purchase a memorial trees, flowers, park benches, and perennial plants; dedication markers and lighting are also available for a reasonable fee.

We are excited about the project, and hope that you will join us in a very special effort to help those with supportive needs. DBM would like to have a "brick" from each business and service provider on our walkways; what a better way for community to come together and support each other.
