Share a priceless gift with the residents of The Baptist Manor……Yourself!

Volunteers are precious people who make a positive difference! We welcome individuals and groups interested in sharing their time and talents with our residents. The Baptist Manor has a variety of opportunities for people to utilize their time and special talents. Volunteers can come in on a daily, weekly, monthly, or one time basis; we are very flexible. Students are welcome although those under 18 must volunteer under staff supervision, or be accompanied by an adult.

Below are just some of the volunteering opportunities available; the possibilities are endless:

  • 1:1 Visits – Make a difference and develop a personal relationship with our residents.
     
  • Gardening – Do you have a green thumb? Help us to plant and take care of our garden.
     
  • Cooking- Share your cooking knowledge (and receive tips) with our residents.
     
  • Music/Entertainment – whether you can sing, dance, act or play an instrument our residents LOVE music and entertainment.
     
  • Arts and Crafts – come share your craft talents with our residents.
     
  • Read – Read books, letters, magazines etc. to the residents. Special events - Assist with a number of special events i.e. Parties, BBQ’s, Community outings, etc.
     
  • Meal times - Assist residents with meals, cutting foods, busing tables etc.
